Q: What is an SVG file?
A: SVG stands for scalable vector graphic, which means that the file itself is made of lines and points rather than pixels. This allows for a high level of scalability and responsiveness, so images do not pixelate when the size is increased.
Q: What can I do with SVG files?
A: For artists and crafters, one of the most common uses for SVG files is for die-cutting machines. In many ways, machines like these are a type of printer—you send a design to the machine and it replicates the design on the material. Depending on what machine you choose, you can cut or transfer designs on to almost any material like paper, vinyl, fabric, leather, or even wood!
Q: What cutting machines should I use?
A: Cricut, Silhouette, and Brother are the most frequently used cutting machines, and they have many support groups across various social media pages if you need it. The machine you end up choosing depends on the types of crafts you plan on creating. If you are thinking about making things like stickers & vinyl stencils or you are a beginner in cutting, then the Silhouette Portrait & Cricut Explore Air machines are simpler, lower-cost options for you. However, if you want to advance your cutting machine skills and have more plans for future crafts, machines like the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut Maker are more versatile in their capabilities and have the power to cut a larger variety of materials.
Q: What software do I need to use your SVGs?
A: You can use any software that is compatible with SVG files and/or your machine. Look below to see which machines and software are possible:
Q: How can I view my orders and purchases?
A: Ensure that you are logged into your account, click on the dropdown labeled “Account” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, click “Purchases.”
Q: After purchasing my SVG files, how do I download them on my computer?
A: Your files are available for download after a successful transaction. You can download the files any time after purchasing by clicking “Account” > “Purchases” > “Download Item”
You may notice that your file is available in more than just an SVG format, so you can choose which format works with your resources the best. After selecting the format, click “Download.”
Q: I lost my SVG file or accidentally deleted it! Do I have to buy the design again?
A: Nope! Once you buy the design, you can keep re-downloading it. Refer to the above question if you need help downloading your file.
Q: How do I purchase a gift card?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer gift cards at this time. However, they will be coming soon! Sign up for our emails so you can be the first to hear when they are available!
Q: What is your Commercial Use Policy?
A: You cannot sell or reproduce the actual files that you have downloaded, but you can use the purchased files to create your own items, such as home décor, glasses, mugs, plates, etc. You are only able to sell a limited amount of customized products with our designs. Mass-producing items with our designs is not permitted.
Q: What file types do you offer?
A: We have a variety of file types to fit your needs, including AI, DXF, EPS, JPG, PNG, PSD, and of course SVG.
